But like any motorised tool or machinery, you need to ensure that you a consistently and correctly maintaining your ride on to ensure it\u2019s getting the job done as well as prolong its lifetime.<\/p>\n<p>Ride on mowers can be expensive to repair and service, however, if you ensure you are carrying out regular maintenance you can keep your ride on mower working efficiently and effectively.<\/p>\n<p>Not only will regular maintenance increase the longevity of your machine, but you will get better mileage from your machine, blades and fuel efficiency \u2013 so if you have a ride on, take note, and you can save a few dollars in maintenance costs by DIY blade changeovers!<\/p>\n<p>Here are the tools you will need to change the blades of your ride on mower:<\/p>\n<p>Tools<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/toolmateshire.com.au\/stanley-ratchet-set.html\">Ratchet set \u2013 with multiple connections<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Materials<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A new blade to suit your specific make and model of ride on lawn mower<\/li>\n<li>WD-40 or another degreaser<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><small>Step 1<\/small><br \>\nnKeep an eye on your blades<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toolmateshire.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/tm-blades-lown-mower-01-1058193.jpg\" alt=\"tm-blades-lown-mower-01-1058193\" \> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toolmateshire.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/tm-blades-lown-mower-02-4559776.jpg\" alt=\"tm-blades-lown-mower-02-4559776\" \><\/p>\n<p>Your ride-on lawn mower is an expensive piece of equipment so regular checks should be part of ensuring that you get the most out of your machine. So the key is to get a ratchet set with a range of fittings.<\/p>\n<p>The best way to select the right fitting for the nut is by testing it before you attach to the ratchet.
