Say hello to this swanky pallet bathroom storage vessel!<\/p>\n<p>This lidded wooded container is perfect for your bathroom. Not only does it not take up much space, but it fits in with any wetroom, both modern and the more old fashioned.<\/p>\n<p>Heck, it doesn\u2019t have to even be used for your restroom. This stylish storage unit can be used almost anywhere around the house.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4x wooden pallets<\/p>\n<p>Caster wheels (optional)<\/p>\n<p>Handle<\/p>\n<p>Nails<\/p>\n<p>Screwdrivers<\/p>\n<p>Screws<\/p>\n<p>Square brackets<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tools<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Abrasive paper<\/p>\n<p>Glaze<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/toolmateshire.com.au\/offers\/map\/map:\/toolname:grinder\/rent_start:\/rent_end:\">Grinder<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Hammer<\/p>\n<p>Metre<\/p>\n<p>Paint brush<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/toolmateshire.com.au\/offers\/map\/map:\/toolname:saw\/category_id:0\/rent_start:\/rent_end:\/distance:\/brand:\">Saw<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1: Prepare your pallets<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first step is to dismantle the pallets. You can either use a hammer and a chisel, which will help remove the nails, or you can use a saw, which will take less time, but leave the nails in the pallets. You will need 8\u00a0pieces of 80cm in the pallet planks, which you will need to cut 40x 40cm pieces and 2x 33 cm pieces.\u00a0Before working with your pallets, you will also need to polish them.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toolmateshire.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-05-08-at-2.40.48-PM-2-570x375-6142601.png\" alt=\"screen-shot-2017-05-08-at-2-40-48-pm-2-570x375-6142601\" \><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2: Assembling the sides and back<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are going to start by assembling the two sides and the rear of the of the storage. Leave 1.5 cms in space between the top of the sides. Then place eight 40cm slats well spaced out onto an 80cm slat, then fix them on with nails, as shown<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toolmateshire.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-05-08-at-2.56.05-PM-2-570x319-4463105.png\" alt=\"screen-shot-2017-05-08-at-2-56-05-pm-2-570x319-4463105\" \><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3: Assembling the front and\u00a0inner side<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the front, you will need 5\u00a0slats of 40cms and 2 slats of 80cms. For the inner side, you will need 2\u00a0slat of 40cms, and 2 slats of 33cms. Assemble them the same way you did in the previous step, but make sure you cut the two\u00a080cm slats after the last 40cm slat.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toolmateshire.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-05-08-at-2.57.27-PM-2-5888564.png\" alt=\"screen-shot-2017-05-08-at-2-57-27-pm-2-5888564\" \><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4: The top<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For this step, you\u2019ll need 4 slats that you will arrange in a 36cm distance, as shown below. Once you\u2019ve assembled them, add the handle on top.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toolmateshire.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-05-08-at-3.04.13-PM-2-5211987.png\" alt=\"screen-shot-2017-05-08-at-3-04-13-pm-2-5211987\" \><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5: Staining the slats<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now we\u2019re going to coat the surface of the slats with wood stain. Feel free to choose whichever colour you want. We have gone with mahogany.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toolmateshire.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-05-08-at-3.08.29-PM-2-7248333.png\" alt=\"screen-shot-2017-05-08-at-3-08-29-pm-2-7248333\" \><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 6: Final assembly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To join the sides, use square brackets \u2013 three pieces for each corner and two for the front.<\/p>\n<p>You should have at least 5 pre cut slats for the bottom now. Turning your storage upside down, position the five slats onto the bottom and attach them.
