Not for ourselves of course, but for our four-legged friends.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re constantly\u00a0chasing your dog around the place with the hose, trying to hold them down while you attempt to\u00a0give them a scrub, you may need\u00a0something with a bit more finesse\u00a0to wash your canine friend.<\/p>\n<p>Why not create\u00a0an outdoor doggy shower.<\/p>\n<p>An outdoor dog shower is just the trick\u00a0for a portable and versatile showering option for dogs of all sizes. You can create a DIY dog shower almost exclusively using PVC.<\/p>\n<p>In this article, we\u2019ll share out tips on creating the ultimate dog shower that will have dogs great and small\u00a0across your neighbourhood lining up for a shower.<\/p>\n<p>The materials you\u2019ll need to create your outdoor dog shower are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>42.5 W X 33.5 H X 33.5 W<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0(8) 3 way elbow http:\/\/amzn.to\/1WPUT3w<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00be Hose swivel adapter<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00be 45 elbow<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Hose cut off<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00be tee<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a05 x 10 foot PVC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2013 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a08 x cut to 31 inches<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a03 x cut to 40 inches<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a01 x cut to 39.5 inches<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a01 x cut to 36.5 inches<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a01 x cut to 2.25 inches<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Cut to 1.75 inches PVC Cutter<\/p>\n<p>In terms of the tools, all we used was a <a href=\"http:\/\/toolmateshire.com.au\/offers\/map\/map:\/toolname:cordless%20drill\/rent_start:\/rent_end:\">cordless drill<\/a> and a tape measure to put everything together \u2013 plus a little bit of patience.<\/p>\n<p><b>Step 1: Making the frame for your dog shower<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Take the following pieces and assemble them to make a frame, as shown in the picture:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Three-way elbow<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0PVC pipes (31 inches)<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0PVC pipe cut to 36.5 inches<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0PVC pipes cut to 40 inches<\/p>\n<p>Put them all together to make a house structure similar to a cube.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toolmateshire.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/FIGGRSJIQNZZN9Y.LARGE_-570x422-8375050.jpg\" alt=\"figgrsjiqnzzn9y-large_-570x422-8375050\" \><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 2: Attach the water inlet to your dog shower frame<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Next, it\u2019s time to attach the water inlet to your dog shower so that down the track you can put your hose into the socket. In this step, you will need your 2.25in cut PVC to sync up with your 3-way elbow, you will then need to add your \u00be into a tee, add in the 1.75inch cut PVC to face up, install the 45 elbow, add the swivel hose adapter, and then finally add the hose adapter to make your water inlet.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toolmateshire.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/FIW3G9GIQNZZNA0.LARGE_-570x422-9870360.jpg\" alt=\"fiw3g9giqnzzna0-large_-570x422-9870360\" \><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 3: Add the middle of the water dispense to the dog shower<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In this next step, you will need to add in the middle PVC section that will work to dispense water on your dog. \u00a0For this part you will need PVC pipe that is cut to a length of 40-inchs, \u00be in tee and then mark and cut it all so that it is centred in the top and middle of your do shower frame.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toolmateshire.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/FDLI3CIIQNZZNB3.LARGE_-570x422-4027782.jpg\" alt=\"fdli3ciiqnzznb3-large_-570x422-4027782\" \><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 4: Make your dog shower some holes<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Make\u00a0some marks at least 3 inches from the ends and then\u00a0approximately every two inches for holes for the water to spray\u00a0out onto your dog.<\/p>\n<p>Then drill the holes with your drill bit but using a drill press and making a quick jig to hold the pipe safely as you drill.<\/p>\n<p>nYou don\u2019t need the holes to be perfectly spaced \u2013 it\u2019s more about good engineering and getting enough holes in the pipe so that the water comes through properly and wets your dog adequately.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toolmateshire.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/F2LS2ZLIQNZZNBX.LARGE_-570x422-2190119.jpg\" alt=\"f2ls2zliqnzznbx-large_-570x422-2190119\" \><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toolmateshire.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/FR107OWIQNZZNCC.LARGE_-570x422-8027652.jpg\" alt=\"fr107owiqnzzncc-large_-570x422-8027652\" \><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 5: Test your dog shower<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Now is the time to test out your handiwork. Hook up the hose to your dog shower and turn it on to test if the system works correctly.
